Which regex flavor is supported?
This tester uses the native JavaScript RegExp engine and supports common flags including global, ignore-case, multiline, dot-all, and Unicode modes.
How do capture groups work?
Parentheses create numbered groups such as $1. Named groups use (?<name>...) and can be referenced during replacement with $<name>.
Can a regular expression be unsafe?
Some patterns cause catastrophic backtracking on particular input. BeyUtils evaluates patterns in an isolated worker and stops evaluations that exceed the time limit.
